Amy Cragg Chasing Fast Marathon in Tokyo

Amy Cragg will race the Tokyo Marathon next month, according to Erin Strout for Runners' World.

Cragg skipped racing a spring marathon in 2017 to focus on the IAAF World Outdoor Championships marathon. Her decision paid off with a bronze medal.

After showing her ability to excel in championship races, now Cragg is looking for speed. The 34-year old is looking to improve on her 2:27:03 personal best in Tokyo. Cragg has twice run 2:27:03, the last time at the 2014 Chicago Marathon.

Cragg has run fast in Japan before. She ran 1:08:27 at the Marugame International Half Marathon last year.
